Slow and Simple Barbecue Chicken

If you have followed my cooking blog for long you know how I am all for making great food that doesn’t wear you out.

Crockpot BBQ can throw the chicken breasts in frozen.

EASY and IN ADVANCE. For me, the idea of having dinner ready for my family or for company ahead of time is a huge key for me doing it.

I was looking though my recipes the other day (it was a fun journey down memory lane) and was reminded how many really simple recipes I have from when I had four small children. Mercy…I now have four grandchildren!

I needed uncomplicated recipes that I could start in the morning because I was exhausted by 5 to even think of really cooking.

This is one of my go to recipe for years. It is so good and families love it.

You don’t have to use chicken breast if you want to make it a bit cheaper with thighs. Either way make sure you cook it on low…the chicken is so good and tender.  Really good the next day!

1 tsp. mesquite seasoning
1-2 tea fresh minced garlic

Mix BBQ sauce with all ingredients listed under it. Place chicken in crockpot and pour all the sauce over all. Cook on LOW for about 4-6 hours. Serve with baked beans, potato salad and fresh rolls.
